Upon graduating from Wilfred Laurier University with degrees in Political Science and International Relations, Krista wanted to pursue a career in something she was passionate about. Fond memories of spending quality time with her grandmother in her extensive gardens and a lifelong love of flowers led her to the Canadian Institute of Floral Design. A graduate of the Professional Floral Design Program, Krista has since put her expertise to work on a number of weddings and private parties. Krista looks forward to sharing the joys of working with fresh flowers and plant life with her students at Seasons Family Centre.
Chrissy graduated from George Brown College with honours in 2003. She is an experienced Early Childhood Educator and is currently completing a B.A in Early Childhood Education at Ryerson University. Chrissy has been teaching Kindergarten for the past seven years at Mooredale Preschool. She has also been working with school aged children in various settings. She has gained skills planning dynamic curriculum experiences surrounding children’s interests, while fostering creativity, individuality and promoting the “whole child” development. Chrissy is very excited about running her SMART program this all at Seasons Family Centre.
Beatriz has a Business undergrad degree from “Universidad de La Sabana” in Bogota, Colombia; where she was born and raised. After 5 years of working on different business settlements that ranged from the construction industry to real state administration she decided to look after her true passion: working with children. Since arriving to Canada she has worked as part-time teacher assistant at a childcare and is now teaching Spanish lessons at Seasons Family Centre. She believes in learning through a “play” in which she introduces language concepts to children while doing fun activities and crafts. Beatriz feels passionate about early childhood education and is planning to pursue her ECE degree in a near future. In addition to Spanish and English she is fluent in Italian.
Nancy completed an Honors Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from the University of Western Ontario, with specific course work in nutrition, physiology and health promotion. She developed her love of cooking and baking from years spent working with her family’s restaurant business and through a variety of roles in the food industry, both in the front and back of house. Fuelled by a passion for helping people make healthy food delicious food in a simple way, Melanie Byland is an In-Store Dietitian at Loblaws®. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto Master of Public Health Community Nutrition program, and received her bachelor degree in Nutritional Sciences at the University of British Columbia. She has worked for Kraft Foods and other organizations in the food industry, and has developed and run programs at various agencies in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.
Alynn has an extensive and varied background in the food world. Her career started out as a restaurant consultant working with Toronto chefs to streamline their businesses through food costing and menu revisions. She then became general manager of a cooking school and catering operation where she was surrounded by talented chefs who taught her the tricks of the trade. A season as an organic farm apprentice ignited her passion for local, sustainable food and the importance of learning how to grow your own. The motivation behind the College Prep Course stems from her university days when the majority of her friends had no clue what to do in the kitchen. Eager to demonstrate how easy and delicious making your own home-cooked meals was, she began staging small cooking classes. Join Alynn for her College Prep Course.

Dana's training began in Fort Erie ON, at Peacock School of Dance where she became a principal dancer and instructor. She then attended George Brown College and graduated with a certificate from the Performing Arts Program. Upon graduation from George Brown, Dana trained and performed with Jazz and Hip Hop companies, “Thrive" and the "Honeykats”. She has also received international recognition traveling in Japan as Dance Captain and performing at ‘Huis Ten Bosch’ Dutch Resort. Dana continues training with ‘Creative Habitat’, a contemporary dance company for Social Change, whose works have been showcased for the Premiere of “Women in Dance” and “Talent Defined” and working closely performing for Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. She is also a featured performer and Dance Captain with Les Coquettes Cabaret Troupe, with performances in support of Opera Nation, Rethink Breast Cancer and Boys Night Out. Marla began her personal yoga practise 10 years ago. She felt the amazing benefits yoga had in her life and had the desire to teach others. She completed her Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Certificate at The Yoga Studio in Toronto in 2006. Shortly after, she began teaching private yoga classes. She has travelled and taught her practise all over the world, in places such as Australia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. She spent a year teaching at Shangri-La in London, Ontario where she studied with Swami Nitya. Body awareness and inner connection that yoga creates are the driving forces behind Marla’s desire to teach children. She completed her Kids Yoga Teaching Certificate in Toronto at The Yoga Sanctuary. She continues her own practise every day, taking workshops, lectures and attending classes to deepen her own knowledge as she believes teachers are always students in yoga. Carola is a Can Fit Pro Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Pilates Instructor, Weight Trainer and Kettlebell Instructor. Sport and fitness have always been a part of Carola’s life, a passion that began in her childhood. Born in Argentina, Carola has traveled and lived around the world and learned to speak English, Portuguese, Italian and Hebrew in addition to her native Spanish. The unique experience, earned by being exposed to different cultural ideas in sport and fitness, enables her to bring a unique global perspective to her training style. Her confidence and knowledge make her clients feel safe and well taken care of, while working towards positive and permanent results. Utilizing her personal approach in training with her clients, Carola not only motivates and conditions the beginners, but also can satisfy demands of experienced and tough athletes. Anna is a Certified Interdisciplinary Yoga Teacher and Personal Trainer Specialist. Teaching yoga is the perfect balance to her career as an actor, where she performs in theatre, film and TV in Toronto and across Canada. She completed her teacher training at The Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica, studying with Don and Amba Stapleton in 2008. Here in Toronto, Anna continues her studies in Prenatal and Therapeutics Yoga. Anna is passionate about the transformative potential of yoga, and is in awe at its ability to bring awareness, balance and peace to life. The relationship between creativity and yoga is integral to Anna's practice. She creates a powerful, fluid, meditative experience in her classes, with an emphasize on breath, rhythm and linking the poses. Anna is honoured to join the Seasons community and is happy to share her experience as a yoga teacher, as well as her experience working with young people teaching and directing Shakespeare.
Nathalie’s interest in sign language began about 18 years ago when she started American Sign Language (ASL) training at the Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf (BRCD) in Toronto. This introduction to the deaf community led her to various outreach and volunteer programs within the deaf community, including volunteering at the BRCD day care. This was where Nathalie first witnessed young children, both hearing and deaf, sign and communicate with each other. Nathalie’s classes are fun and engaging, and you’ll be amazed by the opportunities that sign language will open up to you and your infant/toddler.
Kate Scheuer has been studying, performing and teaching ballet, modern, jazz, flamenco, creative movement and martial arts for over 23 years. She is also a graduate of Ryerson University where she attained an Honours degree in Bachelor of fine arts. Her most fulfilling work has been more recently, where she has combined her vast experience to teach health of mind, body and spirit through breath, games and movement.
Lee Goldman was born and raised in South Africa, she studied Graphic Design at the Johannesburg college of Art. She moved to Canada in the 1970‘s and shortly after began getting involved in the fitness industry. She now has 25 years experience in the fitness industry. She is a Certified fitness instructor with CanFitPro. She is currently teaching Spinning and Strength Training at a prominent Health Club in the GTA. She enjoys helping people achieve their fitness goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle Join Lee for her Strength and Stretch classes for adults.
Allison is a full-time singer, songwriter, and musician who wants you and your child to experience the joy of making music together! For over 15 years, she has taught in preschools, art schools, neighbourhood centres, OEYCs, and outreach community groups across the GTA. Allison and her musician husband, Gerald, spent three years making music in Nashville, TN. During this time, Allison was honoured to teach at the highly esteemed Stamps-Baxter School of Music - a Gospel music summer school that has drawn students from around the world for over 80 years! Allison has a fun and gentle teaching style. Using guitar, dancing, actions, puppets, and shakers, Allison wants to expose your child to the joy of live music (no mp3s here!), inspire your child's self-confidence, and introduce educational concepts through song. Her blend of children's classics and her own original songs will guarantee a unique and joyful musical gathering!
